The Cosmetic Surgical Center of El Cerrito has received accreditation from the Institute of Medical Quality (IMQ) for the next three years. To achieve this accreditation, we are required to meet the highest standards of patient safety, professionalism, privacy, and all-around health care. We need to pass standard and random site visits by the IMQ Ambulatory Health Care Review Committee to keep this accreditation.
We chose to become accredited because it gives the absolute best experience and results for our patients. At this time, it is not a legal requirement that our facilities be accredited. It is a decision that we made because we want our patients to know that they are in the best possible hands. Many doctors perform cosmetic surgery procedures in non-accredited facilities. This is an important factor for any patient to take into consideration when deciding where to have your cosmetic surgery procedure done.
The IMQ Ambulatory Health Care Review Program includes a comprehensive review of the facility’s clinical staff credentials, patient medical record-keeping practices, calibration and maintenance of medical equipment, and other important safety measures. Facilities are also subjected to an on-site assessment by physician peers before a final decision is rendered.
